Kutsinta Filipino Native cake
Also spelled kutchinta or cuchinta is a type of steamed rice cake. This cake is compared to the traditional Puto, but it has a big difference in structure. Where puto has a doughy structure, this is more jelly-like. Kutsinta is a mixture of rice flour, brown sugar, lye and supplemented with yellow color and annatto powder.

Necessities:
- 1 Pack Kutsinta instant mix
- 150 gr sugar
- 480 ml of water
Preparation method: Stovetop
- Mix all ingredients and stir until smooth
- Pour it into the ramekins
- Steam the molds for about 30 minutes over boiling water
- Let the kutsinta cool down
- Remove from the ramekins and sprinkle with toasted grated coconut
Preparation method: Microwave
- Mix all ingredients and stir until smooth
- Pour it into the plastic molds
- Put the plastic cases in the microwave and heat it at 900 watts for about 3-4 minutes
- Take it out of the microwave
- Let the kutsinta cool down
- Remove from the ramekins and sprinkle with toasted grated coconut
