Lemon Grass Powder
Lemongrass powder is made from the dry white parts of the fresh sereh. These herbs are common in Asian cuisine and are used in many dishes. Lemongrass has a very clear lemon taste and smell and gives your dish something special. The fresh sereh is often used in Indonesian dishes such as the Rendang and the powder is an excellent addition to sauces and rice dishes.
Lemongrass is a sprite of an Indian grass species that grows in almost every warm climate. The stalks are both dried, fresh or as a powder available and have an obvious smell and aroma of lemon. The fresh stems are often stewed as we stew laurel in dishes. The stalks are removed after preparation of the dishes.
