Comments:

  • If it's too sour, add enough water and simmer for another 5 minutes.
  • If it's not acidic enough, bring it to a boil again until the acid is just right.

Ingredients:

  • 1 bunch long beans
  • 150 grams of cabbage
  • 200 grams of peanuts
  • 1 sweetcorn, cut into 3 parts
  • 1.5 liters of water
  • 5 cloves red onion, 5 cloves garlic and a little cayenne pepper (sliced)
  • 3 tablespoons tamarind water (brewed and strained)
  • 1 bag Munik Asem Vegetable cooking herbs

How to make:

  1. Boil water, add peanuts and sweetcorn.
  2. After the water is boiling and the corn is cooked, add the shallots, garlic, cayenne pepper, tamarind water and Munik Bumbu Sayur Asem. Simmer for about 5 minutes.
  3. Add the long beans and wait about 5 minutes before adding the cabbage. Mix well.
  4. Turn off the heat and add sugar or salt to taste (optional).
  5. Serve hot.
