Rendang Mix

Rendang is a classic of Indonesian cuisine. As so often this recipe can be prepared in different ways, the many regions in Indonesia all have their own way of making this dish. But you can make it however you want, with chicken or beef, santen or coconut milk, you name it.

Necessities:

• 500 gr beef
• 3 cups coconut milk from 1/4 coconut or 65ml thick coconut milk + 2,5 cups water

How to cook:

1. Boil cubed meat unit tender. Allow 2 cups of broth to remain in the pan
2. Add bamboe instant spices, cook for 30 minutes
3. Simmer in low heat stir occassionally until sauce has reduced to gravy
4. Serve hot with rice

Shallots, garlic, salt, vegetable oil, coriander, ginger, chili, lemongrass, pepper.
