Cutted cowpea 500 gr
Cut garter from Daily is a frozen product. Delicious in the roti or as a vegetable in Sinigang.
Garter is a typical Surinamese vegetable, but nowadays also imported on a large scale from Thailand. According to experts, the Surinamese is by far better in taste than the Thai. The Garter resembles a very long green bean. The Surinamese garter is thinner and rougher in shape and also slightly darker than the Thai variant. The long beans have a slightly shorter cooking time than the green bean, and are therefore ideal for stir-fry dishes. In the Surinamese kitchen, the garter is used in Roti, among others, while in the Filipino kitchen it is used with the dish Sinigang.
