BDMP Salted Dried Anchovies from Thailand are small, headless anchovies measuring approximately 3 to 4 cm. The fish are salted and dried and sold as a frozen product. A flavourful ingredient for a variety of Asian dishes.
Anchovies are coastal fish that swim in schools and feed mainly on animal plankton. They can grow to around 20 cm long and have a rounded snout and short lower jaw. Anchovies are used in dishes such as tapas and pizza. In Asia, anchovies are also fermented to produce fish sauce.
Use salted dried anchovies to add savoury flavour to Asian dishes. Bear in mind that the product contains salt.
