Manila Coconut Jam 340 g
Manila · Coconut Jam / Matamis Na Bao · 340 g (12 oz)
Manila Coconut Jam is a thick, sweet spread made from coconut cream and sugar, originating from the Philippines. Its rich coconut flavour makes it a delicious spread for bread and a sweet addition to desserts.
Coconut, also known as klapper in Dutch, is the fruit of the coconut palm. The name klapper derives from the Malay word kelapa. Botanically, a coconut is a drupe rather than a true nut. Coconut is widely used in Asian cooking, whether grated, dried or processed into coconut milk. Coconut milk is made by mixing grated coconut with water and pressing it, unlike the coconut water naturally found inside the fruit.
Spread on bread or add a spoonful to desserts. It can also be used as a base for a lightly sweet coconut sauce to accompany chicken with toasted coconut.
Ingredients
Coconut cream, sugar.
