Kembang Goyang flower mold

This tool is special for making this traditional Indonesian biscuit. The flower shape has a diameter of approximately 7 cm and is made of cast iron. The handle including wooden handle about 30 cm. This form heats you first in the oil and then you dip the hot form in the batter. Then you hang the mold back in the oil and you detach the batter from your shape. The cookies are then further fried in the oil. Do not immerse the mold completely in the batter so that the top stays clean otherwise the biscuit will not let go easily. Grease and store the mold after use

Recipe:

  • 200 gr of rice flour
  • 1 whole egg
  • 1 gr of salt
  • 35 gr crystal sugar
  • 200 ml of coconut milk
  • frying oil

Preparation method:

  • Mix the rice flour, a beaten egg, salt, sugar and the coconut milk
  • Smooth well with a whisk
  • In the meantime, heat the oil and heat the mold in the oil
  • Immerse the hot mold in the batter and then immerse it in the oil
  • Shut the biscuit in the oil and bake it further
