Pichi Pichi Mix

Pichi Pichi is a snack that originated in the province of Quezon. The Snack is made from cassava, water, sugar and lye water. The result is a slightly translucent jelly-like delicacy with a slightly sweet taste. The Pichi Pichi is then rolled through the grated coconut. In addition to coconut, you can also use grated cheese or latik.

Preparation method:

1. Prepare the steamer and bring water to a boil.
2. Line and grease cup former
3. Dissolve 1 packet of Miguelitos Instant Pichi-Pichi Premix in 2 ½ cups (590 ml) of water and mix well until completely dissolved.
4. Pour into individual cup formers and place in a steamer.
5. Steam the mixture for 35 - 40 minutes or until the color becomes translucent.
6. Let the steamed Pichi-Pichi cool for at least 30-40 minutes and then let it cool for 30 minutes before unmoulding.
7. Roll each piece over shredded coconut or cheese.
8. Place them on a serving platter and serve.
