Recipe – ingredients

• 1 tablespoon chopped garlic
• 1 finely chopped onion
• 250 g minced meat
• 3 hotdogs, sliced
• 0.25 litre water
• 500 ml Sweet Style Spaghetti Sauce (see note regarding step 3)
• 500 g cooked spaghetti
• 125 g grated cheese
• Salt and pepper

Method

1. Brown the minced meat with the onion and garlic, breaking it up as it cooks.
2. Add the sliced hotdogs, water, salt and pepper, then allow the mixture to reduce slightly.
3. Add 500 ml spaghetti sauce and stir continuously for another 3 minutes while simmering. The original recipe step specifies “Filipino Style Spaghetti Sauce” rather than Sweet Style.
4. Mix the sauce with the spaghetti and sprinkle with grated cheese.
