Rose Apple Juice

Also called Makopa in the Filipino mouth or also known as Djamboe Semarang, Java Apple. This fruit is not so well known. Although the name suggests that it is an apple variety, this is not the case. The fruit looks more like a pear than snow pear than an apple. The fruit grows on a tree up to 15 meters high with an open wide crown. The flowers of the tree grow in hanging clusters of 3 to 30 pieces. The flowers themselves can reach a width of 2-4 cm and are fragrant and yellow / white. When ripe, the fruits are light red in color and 3 to 5 cm in size, pear-shaped and dented at the bottom. The fruits are seedless or contain 1 or 2 broad seeds. The fruit itself is eaten as hand fruit.
