7 Spice Teriyaki Marinade

This ready-made marinade is again a delicious product from the McCormick range. This marinade is made from a mix of various herbs in combination with soy sauce. Tasty for chicken, steak, pork, fish and vegetables. Try it yourself and surprise your friends!

What is Teriyaki?

Teriyaki is a Japanese term that comes from Japanese cuisine. Teri means shine and Yaki means Grilling or baking. Teriyaki is naturally applied to various fish dishes in Japan. But in recent years it is increasingly being applied to meat dishes. For example, consider the delicious chicken teriyaki. The sauce is basically a base of sake, soy sauce, Japanese cooking wine and sugar. This is then reduced to the desired thickness depending on the use form. With a marinade it is often boiled a little shorter and therefore a bit thinner, but if it is used to give the meat a shine during grilling it is then further boiled down to a syrupy liquid.

How to use?

Necessities:

• 1 package 7 Spice Teriyaki Marinade
• 1 to 2 lbs chicken, steak, pork, salmon or vegetables

Directions

• Place meat in a plastic bag or glass dish.
• Add marinade reservind 1 to 2 tbsp for basting, if desired
• Refrigerate 30 minutes.
• Remove meat from marinade.
• Discard any remaining marinade
• Grill until desired doneness, basting with marinade

Sugar, soy sauce (water, wheat, soybeans, salt), water, distilled vinegar, salt, spices (including paprika, sesame seeds, ginger, black pepper, brown mustard seeds, red pepper, star anise), sherry wine, modified corn starch, garlic, caramel color, sesame oil, yeast extract, xanthan gum, potassium sorbate, and sodium benzoate (as preservatives), natural flavor, and paprika proteins.
