Pancit Shanghai Patatim

Patatim

This is a special Filipino dish prepared with the leg of a pig. Similar to Paksiw alone, this dish does not contain vinegar. The dish is basically a cooked piece of pork leg in a mix of soy sauce, oyster sauce, pineapple juice and herbs such as garlic, star anise, cinnamon and mushroom or mushroom and paksoy. What makes the taste so special is the combination of the soft meat, the jelly from the pig skin and the spicy sauce.

How to cook

• Cook noodles and condiments in boiling water in 3 minutes
• Drain water
• Empty oil pack in a pan
• Mix the noodles
• Serve on a plate
