The Big A Pandan Rice is long-grain rice from Cambodia, a country with a longstanding rice-growing tradition. The grains are carefully selected, milled and polished to produce consistently white rice. As it cooks, the rice releases a delicate aroma reminiscent of pandan and jasmine.

Once cooked, the rice is fluffy and tender, with a mild, slightly nutty flavour. Pandan rice is often compared with jasmine rice for its fragrance and texture. This versatile rice is a great accompaniment to curries, stir-fries, meat, fish and vegetable dishes, as well as Southeast Asian meals.

Cooking instructions

1. Bring water to a boil using 1 cup of rice to 1½ cups of water.
2. Add the rice and salt if desired.
3. Simmer gently for 18–20 minutes in a covered pan.
4. Remove the pan from the heat.
5. Fluff with a fork and leave to steam for a few minutes with the lid on.
