Sardines Mechado Style

Mechado is a dish that is traditionally prepared with beef in Filipino cuisine. This is a real stew in which the meat is prepared in a tomato sauce with often some potato cubes. The mechado is usually served with special occasions. In addition to the tomato sauce, bay leaves, soy sauce, and lemon juice are also added.
